Rail traffic continues to recover, but from very depressed levels as noted on the Railfax Car-loading Report. Rail traffic remains depressed below 07 and 08 levels. This does not surprise however considering the severity of the US housing boom and bust. Some 17 months into a “recovery” we are not only below 2008 totals but 2007 totals as well.
